Run your financial reports

BooksGPT gives you the standard accounting reports, ready to export. Reports live in business workspaces.

Open a report:

  1. In the sidebar, open Workspace and click Reports to land on Profit and Loss.
  2. For a specific report, use the Reports group in the same list: Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, AR Aging, AP Aging, Sales Tax, Account Balances, Income by Customer, Purchases by Vendor, Customer Credits, General Ledger, and Form 1099-NEC.

Set the range:

  • Pick a preset like This month, Year to date, or Last year, or click two dates on the calendar for a custom range.
  • Presets follow your fiscal year, so a July fiscal year gets a July year-to-date.

Cash or accrual:

  • Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance have an Accounting basis switch: Accrual (the default) or Cash.
  • Cash counts income and expenses when the money moves. Accrual counts them when invoices and bills are dated.

Compare periods:

  • On Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, use Compare to: Previous period, Previous year, or a custom period.
  • You get $ Change and % Change columns next to your numbers.

Save and export:

  • Click Saved, then Save current view to keep a setup you run often. Saved reports live under Saved Reports, shared with your workspace.
  • Click CSV on any report to download it. For a PDF, print from your browser. Reports print cleanly.

Note: these are accounting reports, so they appear in business workspaces, not personal ones.
